Soccer champion Cristiano Ronaldo, sponsored by Herbalife, talks about his introduction to the sport as a child. Everyone in Ronaldo’s family loved soccer and he grew up playing in the streets with his friends. Ronaldo says that one day his father, who worked in a soccer club, asked him why he didn’t come in and play when he was working.From that point on, Ronaldo would go in, train and get help from his father. He liked being part of a team and he played to enjoy himself. Ronaldo says that back then, he knew he was different than the other players, but he didn’t think that one day he would become a pro.
However, after three or four years, Ronaldo says he started to think about which professional teams he might want to join. He was watching a lot of walk-ups and games, and his dream to become a professional soccer player was growing stronger..

June 27th – Ronaldo Extends Endorsement with Herbalife
Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has signed an extension to his endorsement partnership with nutrition company Herbalife.
The multi-year agreement will run through to 2021, extending a relationship that began in 2013.
Herbalife will maintain the exclusive rights to promote Ronaldo in connection with the nutrition, wellness and sports performance products category.
Ronaldo and Herbalife have collaborated on a number of marketing campaigns and development projects during their partnership. This included the launch of Herbalife24 CR7 Drive, a sports drink designed to meet the nutritional needs of Ronaldo and benefit athletes of all levels.
“Herbalife Nutrition understands how critical nutrition is for my performance and I enjoyed working with their scientific team to develop CR7 Drive, a sports drink designed to rapidly fuel workouts and enhance hydration,” Ronaldo said.
“It is personally and professionally rewarding to be able to help other athletes around the world understand how nutritious products can help them perform better.”
The extension comes as Ronaldo and his club side, Spanish La Liga team Real Madrid, prepare to face English Premier League outfit Liverpool in the Uefa Champions League final this weekend in Kiev, Ukraine.
